In the field of research in disabilities many different methods and procedures have been adopted to aid in the acquisition of fruitful result. The scientific method in research on disability studies is important and effective. There are systematic and specific steps that are followed by the researcher to conduct the research as characterized by scientific method of research. Historical research in education is an enquiry about educational phenomena as they emerged, existed and developed further. Historical research employs historical method of study in education. It aims to ascertain the nature, causes and reliability of educational happenings of the past with a view to contribute to better understandings and interpretation of the present and the future. Qualitative research relies primarily on words as its unit of analysis and its means of understanding. However, it can also use voice tone, loudness, cries, sighs, laughs, and many other ways of human communication. The words may be spoken in individual interviews (face to face or on the telephone) or groups, or they may be written, so you may have to analyse the spoken words of an interview, focus group or conversations (for example between a patient and health worker), or the written words of an account or description or diary record. Education research embraces the full spectrum of rigorous methods appropriate to the questions being asked and also drives the development of new tools and methods. Research is a search for truth which helps to solution of problem in area of education. Government statistics particularly census or statistics produced by large industrial or commercial firms, trade unions or other organizations provide one important account of data which sociologist can use in their analysis.
