This book focusing on ethical issues in psychological interventions in addictive disorders. This also concern the special ethical problems in child and adolescent psychiatry which relate to the child as a developing being. Two themes are discussed the sense of responsibility the child and the therapist responsibility towards the child. Special ethical problems in child and adolescent psychiatry relate to the nature of the child as a develop being with changing morals, cognitions and emotions and as a dependent being reliant on adults. The theme of responsibility in children raises issues such as their ability to decide for themselves to say no to treatment.
