All normal routes in neuroanatomy are shown axial slice by axial slice, with a solid or dashed line denoting the pathway's direction of travel (superior or inferior). This book does better than others because it isolates one or a few pathways per chapter to focus on and correlates them with clinical presentations within the same chapter. For instance, rather than grouping them all under the heading "visual system," anisocoria (differing pupil diameters) and diplopia (double vision) are given individual chapters. As a result, the explanations are made clearer without sacrificing depth. The majority of Clinical Neurology's chapters outline a solid differential diagnosis list that will help you stand out during rounds. Additionally, you will be able to link it to the anatomy logically. Some books will have more depth on given subjects, but this book does an excellent job of providing the appropriate depth for a medical student or non-neurology resident. One of the book's virtues is its readability. Although there are 336 pages, each chapter is presented in a way that simplifies complicated ideas without sacrificing too much detail. Few metaphors are used, and the language is kept straightforward if feasible. Important terms are bold, and readers who want a more in-depth explanation should go elsewhere. Cost-effective considering the paper quality and layout; the paper feels great and glossy, and the images are nicely colored. The book's formatting is not a weakness but rather an asset. The majority of my criticisms of this work are positive. One may theoretically complete it in a month because it is not a lengthy book. You'll have the skills you need to succeed on a rotation and probably in any non-neurology discipline if you thoroughly study it and recall most of it.
